Since 1974, URÇEL TİCARET KOLLEKTİF ŞİRKETİ continues to grow by providing services for our distinguished customers through its HOOK MANUFACTURING PLANT and two METAL PLATING PLANTS.
Founded in 1974 under the guidance of a father, URÇEL currently provides its domestic and global customers with plating services dedicated to numerous products including textile accessories, bullet shells and marble cutters. Furthermore, the company continues operating in various industries.
Our mission is to increase customer satisfaction by maintaining quality and bringing rapid response to relevant requirements.
We intend to bring URÇEL to the first place by performing quality plating and by creating special colors through ecological plating process standing as the significant application in our age.
The history of URÇEL begins when İlhan URAN has seen a hook model imported from Yugoslavia during the years lacking automation technologies. By the initial motto “Since this is not manufactured in Turkey, why shouldn’t we lead the industry?” the company is founded by 2 partners in 1974.
HOOK PRODUCTION process is designed with a leased press and a single pattern machine. The company started to sell hooks officially upon first order from a single customer after challenging procedures and trials lasted for months. This first sale boosted the current market and then developed a new one dedicated to hook production.
After a short while, the company has become insufficient to fulfill the orders of a single customer. The officials realized this process would not be maintained with a single pattern and press machine. As the company purchased a press machine and found a skilled hand to operate the automated pattern machine just like a miracle, URÇEL took a concrete step towards sustainable growth. Then, 2 partners started to search for customers by visiting every store with a bag filled of first models. The URÇEL name surprised the market with its promotional activities, trials for new models, product brightness and quality. The company’s name spread rapidly as the FIRST HOOK MANUFACTURED IN TURKEY.
The company has been involved in plating industry in 1976 with its first PLATING FACILITY consisting of 2 bathrooms and 3 cabinets dedicated to coat its own products. The company made a name in the market by plating the brightest nickel.
As the competition grew in parallel to the company operations, the partners were separated and URÇEL has become a family business upon the participation of two sons Burak URAN and Şafak URAN.
By increasing the hook designs and coat colors through the catalogues from Europe, the company extended its customer portfolio throughout Turkey from Edirne to Ardahan.
URÇEL became a brand by late 1990s.
Initiated with nickel and tin, the plating process is improved upon the discovery of free nickel by early 2000s. URÇEL led the industry in terms of free nickel and made a name with its quality. In 2009, the company divided its facilities to manufacturing and plating plants. Subsequently, the first large-scale PLATING FACILITY is founded in Galvanized Technics Industrial Zone.
The customer portfolio is extended by adding new colors to the plating patterns and the company started to provide service in numerous fields ranging from textile metal accessories to marble cutting parts and bullet shells. In order to set the dipping areas required by the addition of special colors to the color chart, the company opened its second plant in Galvanized Technics Industrial Zone by dividing FREE NICKEL and OXIDE works during 2017.
Today, URÇEL TİCARET applies all colors to the steel plate, zamak or brass surfaces whereas the company provides services to domestic and global customers. In terms of hook production, we can manufacture any intended model for our distinguished customers.
